Kuboshi park

My visiting teachers took me to a new park that is right by our house. It is so pretty and has a nice little creek running through it and a few trails to walk on. The puppies loved the creek. I didn't know if they would like the water cause they didn't like the ocean very much, but they loved this! I guess the slow running creek is more fun for them than the big waves in the ocean. We even hiked up a hill and I didn't know if i was going to make it.

Baby Shower.32 weeks

Today a few people from Duncan's unit threw us a baby shower. It was a whole lotta fun. We got to meet lots of new people and have a good time. One of the games we played everyone had to guess how big my belly really was. Some guessed real high and some real low. We didn't have an actual measuring tape so we used a book and my belly was 5 3/4 book lengths. I'll have more pics later. I forgot to take my camera but Kim took lots of pictures for me and is going to make a cd.
I'm 32 weeks along. Only 8 more weeks til baby is due to arrive. I'm a little concerned with how much weight I have gained already. I've gained a good 30+ lbs and I still have 8 more weeks to go. I was only planning on gaining 20 the entire time. I have an appointment Thursday so I can ask doc to measure baby and make sure he isn't going to be 10 lbs by November. I want to do everything I can to avoid a c section, ugh. Oh my goodness, I went bra shopping to get another new bra (I have outgrown many throughout this entire pregnancy). I had to buy a 38E! I didn't even know that was a size. I started out as a nice little B. Holy crap!
The last picture is of the puppies after a bath. We took them to the dog park Saturday and after running around for about an hour they come home and get a nice warm bath and then crash forever. Chip is so tired he doesn't even care that he is wrapped up so tight he can't move.

Apples Apples Apples!!!

So on Sunday a couple of people from Duncan's unit invited us to go to the Curran Apple Orchard for cider pressing day. You go and pick your own apples and then use the press there to make your cider. This whole day was free you just had to bring the jug to put the cider in. So it started at 1 but we didn't start picking til a little bit after that cause we were waiting for the whole group to get there. But in that 15 min we were waiting most of the trees got picked clean and we pretty much had our choice of one to pick from. Duncan and I both filled our grocery bags with the little green apples. Next was the washing station and in the picture above Spc Meade and the hubby are washing all my apples. After that we had to get in another line to use the press but that line wrapped around the entire 7 acre orchard and I just couldn't stay out in the sun and on my feet that long so we just took all our apples home.
I decided to try out making applesauce in my crockpot cause I didn't know what else to do with all our apples. I made a small batch today which came out delicious and made my house smell so good. I had Shelly come over and take as many as she wanted and tomorrow I'm gonna make a giant batch of applesauce and freeze what we can't eat. It was so easy to make too. The hardest part was peeling 12 tiny apples, which actually turned out to be 14 cause I dropped 2.

This picture of Duncan is him with his new glasses. He went to optical a couple weeks ago cause he needed to get a new prescription and he ordered some new glasses while he was in there. No, he did not order these ones! They sent him the wrong ones and I thought they looked hilarious. They are supposed to be the less funny looking than the BCG's that everyone got in basic. (BCG=birth control glasses) He still looks adorable but he NEEDS to go back and get the right ones.

Today I am 31 weeks along and busting out of Duncan's shirts. I'm supposed to have 9 more weeks but I don't think he can stay in there that long! I found the pics of an ultrasound from when I went to the ER for the first time when I was about 6 weeks. That little tiny black circle on the left side of the picture is the sac that the baby is supposed to be in. I can't believe that they can go from so small you can't even see them to making my belly this big and still not be out!

Our New Bedroom

There are a couple furniture stores going out of business in town so I went looking around just to see what they had cause I have been keeping my eye out for cheap bedroom furniture. My goal was to just find a frame so that our mattress didn't have to sit on the floor anymore. I found one I liked and was debating on whether I wanted to get the dresser to match because it was such a good deal and I guess I was taking too long so the salesman threw in the two nightstands for free to help me make up my mind. All of it just got delivered to our house on monday and I have no idea how it all fits in our room but it did. Now I have to figure out where to put the bassinet . . . it'll fit it just might be crowded for a couple months.
