Aiden Update

We were able to get Aiden a new pediatrician at a civilian clinic off post, Yay! Madigan has some great doctors but you will never see the same one twice. You have to arrive atleast 15 minutes prior to your appointment, get baby naked in the waiting room and wait to be called to have his vitals taken. Then they send you back out to the waiting room with baby still naked to wait to see a different doctor than the one you are assigned. You finally get called back to the room and sit in there and wait some more. The doctor finally comes in and rushes you through the appointment because they have lots of patients to see. Then you have to go to a completely different part of the hospital to get the shots and you go and sit in that extremely crowded waiting room full of sick and horribly behaved children. It's a whole lot of hurry up and wait and you're lucky if you can get done with a simple well child appointment in 2 hours. So I am extremely excited about this change.
The Clinic is just down the street from my house. The new peds named is Dr. Berry and we loved him! The building is brand new. It's a really small clinic that doesn't have very many patients. We went in on Wed to meet Dr. Berry and he did Aiden's 6 month well child appt and shots a little early so that we didn't have to come back in 2 weeks again, which is extremely hard now days with Duncan doing so much training and having the car at work all day. I don't even have a drivers license right now so I couldn't drive myself anyways haha.
We didn't have to wait long to be seen and everything was done in one room, even the shots. It was so much easier for us. We were lucky and Duncan was able to get off and come with us to this appt, but when I'm alone going to an appt with Dr. Berry will be much less stressful than the ones at Madigan were.
Aiden didn't handle these shots very well. He only got 2 pokes this time instead of 3 because they used a combine shot and then the liquid he had to take orally. They had cute crayon band-aids. Aiden was extremely cranky, sore and tired the rest of the day.

Aiden's 5 1/2 month stats
Date: 28 Apr 10
Length: 28"
Weight: 21 lb 2 oz
Head Circumference: 43 1/2 cm

For his length and weight he is in the 97% and his head is only in the 50%.

Smile When it Hurts the Most :)

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

Just some random pictures

Loving his exersaucer

Bear hugs in the morning before daddy leaves for a CLS class.

First sippy cup and it was a success. He loves it. It's not too different from a bottle. The spout is soft and the handles make it easy for him to hold on. He gets apple juice in his cup now.

After his bath

Little stinker loves his toes and putting them in his mouth
